In my last post, I talked about the “10,000 Hour Rule” and the importance of putting in the time in order to get proficient at something. It’s time to practice what I preach.

I haven’t been posting a lot in recent months. Instead, I’ve been working behind the scenes and focusing on improving my skills as an artist through study and practice. I feel that the time has come to get back on that horse. I’m ready to challenge myself to paint every day – whether it’s a small painting, or parts of a larger work.

I feel as though a tide is shifting and my work is preparing to head in a new direction. I don’t quite know what that will result in, but I’m ready for a new adventure, and I need all the support I can get. I’m taking on a “Paint-A-Day” Challenge in which I will finish a small painting, or work on part of a large painting, every day. I’ll post my progress on my website and on Facebook.
